It should be obvious that Issue 3 is not a full issue. I had thoughts of supreme vanity -- filling up the remaining spaces with my own work -- and decided that would be a really terrible idea. There may yet be a sixth piece appearing for this issue in the next few days, but rest assured it won't be mine.

And this is the end of the road. I have enjoyed my time behind the desk, despite all the trouble I caused for myself and all you brave authors by being undisciplined. I hope you've enjoyed it too.

Enjoy these five pieces by four fine authors, for they shall be the last coming from me. Joseph Howse has thoroughly recreated the horrors of medical waiting rooms for us, Matthew Deane has dredged up some memories of extraordinary mothers, and much more slumbers within. Thanks for your readership -- I'm sure these authors thank you too.
